FAQ: USING A VENEZIA UNICA CARD WITH THE VALIDATOR
How do I validate my annual/monthly season ticket?
Follow the same procedure used with the old ticket validation machines: the new validator automatically validates any season tickets loaded on your card: simply place the card on the base of the Validator and wait for the confirmation message without moving the card.
How do I validate a ticket that has been loaded onto my Venezia Unica card?
Follow the same procedure used with the old ticket validation machine: if the ticket you want to validate is the only one loaded onto your Venezia Unica card, simply place the card on the base of the Validator and wait for the confirmation message without moving the card.
I have loaded several different types of tickets onto my card: how do I select the one I want to use?
Press this icon
on the screen, and then place the card on the validator to read its contents; after this, remove the card from the validator, select the contract you wish to use and place the card back on the validator before 5 seconds have elapsed. Venezia Unica Card holders who have loaded more than one ticket contract on their card have to place the card on the base of the validator: the device automatically reads the contents of the card. Select the ticket you wish to use, and then remove the card from the validator; after this, place the card back on the validator in order to validate the ticket you have selected.
How can I check my tickets and other information about my Venezia Unica Card?

This means you cannot select tickets for use with this function. This operation is only available when you press this icon 
How can I find out the remaining time on my ticket?
At each tap, the validator will indicate the expiry time of the ticket (not the remaining time).
Posso convalidare un biglietto presente nella mia tessera Venezia Unica per un passeggero che viaggia con me e che ne è sprovvisto?
No: each passenger must be in possession of a separate individual ticket. each ticket must be purchased separately.
COMING SOON: ticket purchases will soon be available with the simple "tap" of a credit card on the Validator. In order to benefit from the € 1.50 Venezia Unica network price which is reserved for Venezia Unica card holders, activation is required: link the Venezia Unica Card profile to a payment card in the personal area of the account.
I have a valid ticket loaded onto my Venezia Unica Card (for example, a season ticket), but the validator displays an error message and a red screen: what does this mean?
Nothing to worry about, just simply place the card on the Validator, hold it still, and wait for the confirmation message. For other red-screen messages please check the FAQ: "Error Messages" section.

How do I validate my ticket?
Simply place your ticket on the base of the validator and wait for the confirmation message without any movement.
Can I validate a ticket on my card for another passenger who is travelling with me but does not have a ticket?
No: each passenger must be in possession of a separate individual ticket. Each ticket must be purchased separately.

FAQ: USING A QR CODE (for purchases via the App or with WhatsApp)
How do I scan a QR code on the new Validator?

with the QR code facing up and wait for the message confirming that the QR code has been successfully read. Please note that after pressing the button to activate QR code reading, the card reader remains disabled for 10 seconds.
FAQ: ERROR MESSAGES
What do I have to do if the validator reports an error (for example, a red screen message and/or an acoustic warning signal)?
Please read the message that is on the display, if a scanning issue is reported, simply present the card again by placing it on the validator. If a different message is displayed, it may be due to an expired card, a blacklisted card or the absence of tickets/season tickets. In the future, when the EMV system is active, the Validator may also report that the credit/debit card is not usable.
